Hidden in Plain Sight

From time to time, Los Angeles just surprises the heck out of me. Awhile back, I went to visit a friend's new gallery which is adjacent to MacArthur Park, an area I thought I knew well. After all, when I was a kid, my parents would take me and my brother to the park to ride in the big paddle boats that were for rent there. On my way to the subway, I crossed the park and stumbled on this amazing collection of Navy "stuff," which turns out to be a memorial for the Navy veterans of World War I. It was overcast and raining that day, so the pictures were kind of blah until I applied a mix of presets in Lightroom. Enjoy.
